Guru BP/BK adalah tenaga pendidik profesional di lingkungan sekolah yang memiliki tugas utama memberikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling kepada peserta didik. Layanan ini mencakup pengembangan pribadi, sosial, belajar, dan karier siswa, serta membantu mengatasi berbagai permasalahan yang dapat menghambat perkembangan optimal peserta didik. Terdapat indikasi yang semakin nyata mengenai penurunan moral dalam interaksi sosial antar siswa di lingkungan sekolah, yang tercermin dari berbagai bentuk perilaku sehari-hari yang menunjukkan melemahnya nilai etika, sopan santun, dan rasa saling menghormati.
Fenomena ini terlihat dari kecenderungan sebagian siswa yang mulai mengabaikan norma kesopanan dalam berkomunikasi, baik secara langsung maupun melalui media pergaulan antar teman. Dalam interaksi verbal, ditemukan penggunaan bahasa yang kurang pantas, nada bicara yang kurang menghargai lawan bicara, serta kebiasaan menyela pembicaraan tanpa memperhatikan etika komunikasi.
Selain itu, dalam hubungan sosial antar siswa, mulai tampak berkurangnya sikap empati dan kepedulian terhadap sesama. Hal ini ditandai dengan adanya sikap saling mengejek, mengucilkan teman tertentu dalam kelompok pergaulan, serta kurangnya solidaritas ketika terdapat teman yang mengalami kesulitan. Dalam beberapa kasus, konflik kecil antar siswa tidak diselesaikan secara dewasa, melainkan berkembang menjadi perselisihan yang mengganggu suasana belajar.
Lebih lanjut, terdapat pula kecenderungan menurunnya rasa hormat terhadap aturan sosial di lingkungan sekolah, seperti kurang menghargai guru saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung, serta sikap kurang peduli terhadap ketertiban umum di kelas maupun lingkungan sekolah.
Faktor penyebabnya diduga berasal dari pengaruh lingkungan pergaulan, kurangnya pengawasan dalam penggunaan media sosial, serta lemahnya pembiasaan nilai karakter di lingkungan keluarga maupun sekolah.

- Lingkungan pergaulan – pola interaksi di luar sekolah yang kurang terkontrol.
- Kurangnya pengawasan media sosial – paparan konten negatif tanpa filter moral.
- Lemahnya pembiasaan nilai karakter di keluarga dan sekolah (inkonsistensi keteladanan).
- Minimnya kesadaran kolektif akan pentingnya etika pergaulan.
Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan pendidikan karakter secara berkelanjutan melalui layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling, pembiasaan budaya positif di sekolah, serta kerja sama yang intensif antara guru, wali kelas, dan orang tua dalam membentuk kembali moralitas dan etika sosial peserta didik.

The Guidance and Counseling teacher (GC) is a professional educator within the school environment whose primary task is to provide guidance and counseling services to students. These services cover personal, social, academic, and career development, as well as helping students overcome various problems that may hinder their optimal growth. The Guidance Counselor acts as a facilitator, counselor, and mentor in shaping students' character, moral values, and independence, enabling them to develop in a balanced and responsible manner.
There are increasingly clear indications of a decline in moral values in social interactions among students within the school environment, reflected in various daily behaviors that show weakening ethical values, politeness, and mutual respect.
This phenomenon is evident in the tendency of some students to begin disregarding norms of politeness in communication, both directly and through peer social circles. In verbal interactions, we observe the use of inappropriate language, a tone of voice that shows little respect for the interlocutor, and the habit of interrupting conversations without regard for communication ethics.
Furthermore, in social relationships among students, there is a noticeable decrease in empathy and concern for others. This is marked by behaviors such as mocking one another, excluding certain peers from social groups, and a lack of solidarity when a classmate is experiencing difficulties. In some cases, minor conflicts among students are not resolved maturely but instead escalate into disputes that disrupt the learning atmosphere.
Moreover, there is a tendency toward diminished respect for social rules within the school environment, such as showing less regard for teachers during the learning process, as well as a lack of concern for general order in the classroom and the school surroundings.
The contributing factors are believed to stem from the influence of peer environment, lack of supervision in the use of social media, and weak habituation of character values within both the family and school settings.
🔍 Main factors causing the decline in student morality :
- Peer environment – uncontrolled social patterns outside school.
- Lack of social media supervision – exposure to negative content without moral filtering.
- Weak habituation of character values at home and at school (inconsistent role modeling).
- Low collective awareness of the importance of social ethics.
Therefore, sustained character education reinforcement is necessary through Guidance and Counseling services, the promotion of a positive school culture, and intensive collaboration between teachers, homeroom teachers, and parents to rebuild students' morality and social ethics.
